I use them here in Ma for about $250.00 per year. I havent found it to be the best but it brings in its share. Like the above post said call for you local prices.

Yellow pages can be expensive, don't let them sell you a big display, etc. I learned this with a previous marine business I was a partner in. A great friend of mine owns a Harley Davidson Dealership, when we where talking about the start up of my Real Estate business, his comment was.. "Remember.. the guy with the biggest ad in the phone book, is the first one out of business"...
My display advertising in the marine business was $12,000 per year, and didn't do anything compared to having a website with traderonline and local word of mouth at our local Yacht Club and marinas. Just an fyi from a past experience. My phone book ad now is one line in the business white pages.

Radio52 I like the idea but wouldn't that cost just as much to send out that many flyers than just pay the phone company??

Yes and it probably costs more to send the flyers. The difference is the telephone book covers a broad area well beyond our target markets and I don't think many homeowners are looking in the real estate section of the telephone book for buyers.

We hit our target properties with 5-7 mailers so we're always looking for good ideas to get the letters opened and read and even kept for a long time. This is just one idea that achieves that.

Right now we're trying handwritten letters and postcards and are having moderate success, about 0.5% which is an acceptable response for direct mail.

If you have any other direct mail ideas I'd love to hear them. Thanks and happy investing.
