Would Anyone Mind Sending Me A Little Assistance...

I have a lease option contract but it's not an assignable one. Does anyone have one they wouldn't mind sharing with me or mind giving me some wording to add to my contract.

Thanks guys and gals

This Agreement shall be binding on and insure the benefit of the heirs, executors, administrators, assigns and successors in interest of the respective parties.

I have this under the very last section under "General Provisions"

Why isn't yours assignable. If it says not assignable on your document, just delete it.

Cross out the non-assignable clause and write in your own assignable clause.

DO you have the contract signed by another party? like the seller or another buyer? If so, just scracth out the non assignable clause, and hand write in an assignment clause, and have both parites sign it

)Buy yourself a scanner for fifty bucks and scan the document in.

Open it word and make the changes.

Cannon has some great scanners in the 40 to 70 eange that comes with software that wll read the document at about 99.5% accuracy. (OMNI OCR software)

If your documents are proffesional looking people will sign it as long as it appears "standard".

If it says that it is not assignable, then delete the clause. If it does not meantion assigning, then it is assignable. By default contracts are assignable. But, just as when you assume a mortgage the person must qualify - depending on if you are the buyer or seller, you might want some control or approval in clause in the assignment.
