Wish I Lived In Cali Right Now...

Too all of you who live in California right now, I can not even begin to stress the amount of deals that are about to happen in the next month or so.

It is unbelievably unfortunate that people have died and lost their homes to such a tradegy, it really is and in no way am I making light of a bad situation. But what I am saying is that there is tons of money to be made in fire homes. I know Lufos touched on this a little but people will get their insurance checks and more than like will not build again on their property. These properties are liabilities to them and most people would be happy to give away for nothing the land and burnt building.

You just have to make them understand that they already received a huge check in their favor and that why do they want to spend the next months paying taxes and having liability for a property that is worth zero to them now.

Also, I am pretty sure that each house that burns down has a fire escrow on it. Which means, the insurance company puts money into an escrow fund against the property in case the city has to tear it down, then the city will use the funds from the escrow to do it. If the property is purchased, then you, the new property owner are entitled to that money inside the escrow and you have to write a letter requesting it.

People just lost their homes and lives, so tread softly and do what we do best, help people out...we are not scam artists...we are helpers.

Just wait till next spring when the rains come and you can see your new property sliding down the street as part of the mud slides that will occur because there's nothing holding the dirt in place anymore.
I know you're right, there will be some opportunities out there, but I think it's a little early for this topic.
    Just My Opinion,

You have a great point but timing is everything. Now may be a little soon.

    No way,

There are enough of us Midwesterns who head out West...starting to outbalance the U.S

But I may have to think about it...

...and I know this early, but just thought I'd point it out.
