Window Replacement?
A property I am purchasing is in serious need of new windows. It has the old aluminum frames and many of the storms are missing. The property is near Buffalo and heating bills are an issue when buying/selling property.
There are 18 windows in the living space and 8 basement windows. My contractor quoted me 5k - 6k to replace everything with vinyl and glass block. Unfortunately this is 50% of the total rehab budget.
Are the windows worth the investment? Will I see the money when I resell?
