Will A Homestead Filled On A Property Survive A Tax Sale?

Im interested in bidding on a property at a tax sale here in California but the owner has Homestead filled on it. I have a couple of question for the CA Law experts.



a) Will the Homestead filled on the property survive a Tax Sale?



b) What are the risk or implications if i did bid and win this said property?



I have been looking at CA code in homesteading but it doesnt state anything about tax defaulted homestead property.



Any advice would greatly be appreciated. TYIA
