Singe Family Housing Tax Credit
the subject doesn't fit into any forum, but here goes...has anyone looked into jumping on this bandwagon if it passes the senate? It looks like there are some opportunities for small investors, similar to the initial stages of the LIHTC for multifamily. The proposed legislation is pretty vague, but as it gets refined, I think we'll find ways to get involved as small developers/rehabbers. Any thoughts?

HR 839 is the house version of the bill. Go to www.senate.gov and search 839. It's also called renewing the american dream.

I did the LIHTC thing here in Austin for a house and 2 duplexes. Spent 2 grand and countless hours filing forms. Mucho mucho work. Tried to sell the credits and had 0 luck. Terrible experience. Horrible. Red tape redddddd. If this deal is anything like LITC it is a lot for nothing.
