Wholesaling In Oregon

Hello all, i was just wanting to talk with anyone from oregon about anything that works well for them. see i have been trying to find a way to find whole sale properties in lane county. two things i tryed was going to down to the court house looking for preforeclosures. but for some reason they said that i could not look them up. that i had to already know the home owner i wanted to look up. so then i went to the probate office and they told me the same thing. anyway i was just wanting to talk to anyone from oregon and swap ideas or share whats been working well in oregon. thanks for any reply -jenny confused

    I would look on a foreclosure website to see which ones are available. Or try a state, county, boro, township website to get the info. You can basically find all your answers on line

    I don't know if this helps or not but...

    I am not from Oregon, but I was at a local real estate investors network meeting in my area. They brought in a guru from Oregon. She was awesome!! I don't think I am allowed to advertise anything for her. She does rehabs in a smart way. The real estate networks can give you a good start of where to find things and how to do things the right way. You can get tips for the local area also.

    hi goddess, nice to meet you.

    I am up in tigard and have recently started in REI. In fact i just closed my first deal today. It would not have been possible if i hadn't joined the local real estate investing club. that is where i found the buyer.

    so, two things. first, join your local REI club. i know there is one in lane county. just do an internet search.

    second, introduce yourself as an investor to a title company. tell them you will use them in the future if they will send you the foreclosure lists. also, anytime i find a property of interest, my title company faxes me all pertinent data on that property, including comps. for free! they just want your business when you close.

    The information you were given is incorrect. You can view any public records. This includes deeds, notices of foreclosures, probates that have been filed with the court. The point of public records is to make clear who owns what so that people are protected. There is no privacy implies. Just the opposite.

    You need the owner's permission to contact the lender and ask for details if you wanted to know the pay-off. This has nothing to do with the county government.
