where's the best ad location
here is a question for senior bird-doggers
what section of the classifieds have you found gets the most response..and have you ever heard of not being able to run the ad in the homes for sale column? I think the lady taking my order was new,she said I couldn't put it there cause I was advertising my service and not actually selling a home..I was tired of arguing with her and just put it in the investment section..should I change it?
I wasn't running a bird-dog ad but I WAS running one of Derrick's suggested ads:
I buy houses..Cash/Terms...etc, etc.
I put it in the "homes for sale" section with no problem.
One side note...I didn't get a single call for the week

I find running ad's not as effective as networking. I find the best sources for finding other investors is at RE Auction sales, REI clubs and the like of.
I also leave business cards in some of the most unique places "like men's urinals" thank about it they have nothing else better to do than look at the card or the other guy next to them. Just make sure they wash their hands before you shake on the deal8-)
Son you want leads go to the library, book store or what ever go to the home repair and how to sell you home sections and it is simply amazing how your card happens to fall into the book.
