Hi,
I am new to the legal system and I was wondering what is the Recorders's office. Is it something that is at the courthouse or it is something that you could have to get from the town hall?? Thanks !!!
Hi Rim
all documents are recorded and made available to the public in the clerk of the courts office in your local county courthouse...and may even be able to be viewed online if your clerk of courts office has a website
Some town offices have different names for their departments than others. The clerk in the tax assessors office can usually point you in the right direction if you have any questions.
Sometimes these places are like ordering from a philly cheesesteak house, if you don't have the right lingo they send you to the back of the line.
Always be courteous and you should get what you need.
