Where is the best place to advertise a house for sale in Atlanta (East Lake community) that needs rehab? I want to get the information out to rehabbers. Thanks!
on the side of the road on a bandit sign that says "Handyman Special".
*this is probably illegal in your county and may get you a complaint or two from code enforcement depending on how many signs you put up. I would rather risk a fine and move a property, personally. Otherwise, work on your buyer list.
Never heard of this, but would be very interested if you get more details. I have a few free and clear properties, and three of them are vacant right now.
Of course, one is undergoing rehab, another is MLS listed, and the third is a brand new addition to my rental portfolio (just marketing for a tenant).
I see the same thing happening in my part of town. The owner will occasionally have someone come by and cut the grass to appease code enforcement but will leave the place as-is.
I guess all we can do is be persistent nib45 and try to creatively solve their problem!
Thank you for your responses and appreciate showin the photo around.
thanks to jimandlacy as well. I was at a local bar like that last night, no bottles thrown at me, but I did get lucky. Does it count if she is my fiance?
Put your free listing in your My TCI > My Properties area first, that way people can see your properties simply by clicking on your profile.
Then you can start advertising it by featuring your listing.

Correct me I am wrong but I thought this was the place a person could go to maybe get answers, not sarcastic remarks.
If you had phrased it ....
Its difficult to say, it could be anything cuz of rot or bubba truck ran into it. I would have learned something, instead you just got me pissed.
If it is because of rot can anyone tell me a range. What I am looking for is..
Is this 1k-10k job, or a 10k -20k job. Just want to get a feel.
I thought the picture would help instead of a very vague textual description.
What my head says is often misleading and inaccurate.
I get accurate estimates from real contractors not inexact guesstimates from an internet message board.
My advice:
Get off the computer and call three contractors.
Good Luck.

Thank you cherdwelth
That porch, primered and painted or stained will cost you from 3k to 10k depending on who does your labor and what materials you use.
My contractor said up to $50k to rebuild if the floor in the rest of the house is in the same condition as the porch.
