Where do you find average rents?

Is there any reports published that states the fair rents for neighborhoods and zip codes?

    GREAT Question. I have been looking all over the place for this type of information. They have to have some sort of Data on deatails like that. Census, Covernment?

    Any tips, ideas or even better phone numbers or website are more than welcome

    It might also help to know where you are from if you are looking for rents in a specific area. Suggest you consider updating your personal information to include your state.

    Not sure if this helps but in Chicago I look at a couple of newspapers. The web sites are user friendly and allow you to input the zip cose and number of bedrooms and will bring up everything offered for rent in that area. Maybe your area has a similar paper.

    Classifieds in your local newspaper or a good realtor. I also do some research in the little apartment type guide mags.
