also find out what they do with their windows that they ordered wrong or their customers changed their order. The small locally owned door and window company
in my neighborhood recently ordered 23 windows for a customer but forgot to specify built in dividers. Big oops
but they unloaded them on a spec builder at cost . Win Win
Do you have a Window World in your area? They advertise $189 installed per single window.
HD has a low cost replacement window for 110? ish. Fairly cheap but does the trick with curb appeal.
If they are standard sizes then HD or Lowes is a good bet but Lowes is marginally cheaper here in the west.
If you are doing this regularly get a bid sheet drawn up and fax out to 50 suppliers and lumber yards and see what you come up with.
I do this every year or two and I pay a 60% less for my molding than HD or Lowes and about 20% less on windows.

The lumber houses are a good source. I got my windows from one at 25% less than the camparative at Home Depot
If cost matters how long will you keep the property?
Also do you pay for heating and cooling?
The bigger costs or savings can be long term
I plan keeping the house for rental long term.
I need to go check the price of lumber supply.
Maybe you could just buy it subject-to. That would eliminate the need to get a loan.
