I believe you can purchase the material in 4' by 8' sheets. Pop a line with a chalk box or use a strait edge as a fence while cutting it with a utility knife.
Arborlis is right on. It can be pruchased for a $6.00 a sheet (4x8) in volume usally around $100.00 min. Yellow with black ink has faired us the best results visualy. I and several of my RE buddies in other stated use this method with great sucess. In addition, I had a stencil made ($35.00 hundreded of uses) from "oil board" and purchased an ink roller and ink ($25.00 - hundreds of signs) relative to the chloraplast. I have found this to be a very cost effective method.
We found a local sign company that sells us 18" x 24" yellow corrugated plastic signs for $1.50 each. They almost always have it in stock and we just go by and grab it when we need it. We did have to call around a bit to get this deal. It's amazing the difference in price from one sign store to another. Keep checking around, though, you should be able to find a better dea.
Check Google and you'll find LOTS of cheap, cheap, cheap signs...much cheaper than local supply folks.
