What Type Of Property Do You Rent? Why?
I am not sure what the best type of property is to offer to renters in my area.
There are several moderate sized cities that are all in decline with numerous multi-family homes. The trend is for the population to move out of the cities into suburbia. The problem is that in suburbia there is a short supply of multi family dwellings. Almost all single family homes and massive apartment complexes. I think duplexes with a good size yard would do very well in the suburban areas but they are very rare.
There are plenty of single family homes available. I have read that most people who can afford the rent on a single family would be able to buy one these days instead of renting. Do single family homes in suburbia still make good rentals?
