What Type Of Paint Gun/spray Do You Recommend?

I'm looking for a spayer. I do rehabs and looking to do roughly 3-6 per year for starters. I see one at Home Depot for around $198, I don't know the make or model though. What do most of you spend a good paint sprayer? I want something that will last without breaking the pockets. I want to get in to house spray and get the hell out!!!

check out sears, they have several to chose from $75 to $200. Make sure you get a compatable compressor, to little pressure in your hose makes for a long day. Also remember to use a roller after you spray, it will remove the extra sheen that you get when you spray, in the sunlight it can look like painted glass.

Do not buy one from those places. I own a painting company and those are not made for that kind of projects. Go to sherwin williams and buy one from there. and make sure its a graco. but dont buy the graco from home depot. they will break and it very expensive to fix. for the price to fix you could get a really nice one. Also in my option you need to spend at least 700 or more. trust me. i rehabed for five years and i paint for a living.

What exactly is the difference between the two Graco's?

I had the Lowes brand which broke every other house and I went to Home Depot and bought the Magnum XR7 by Graco......It was close to $500.00.

They had an XR5 which was rated at about 175 gallons a year or used every 3 months....it was around $400.00

I do an average of 8 - 10 houses per year.......or about 300 gallons a year, I have never had a problem. The Graco websites list their products based upon the amount of gallons you are using.......is this what you are basically getting at?

I was at Sherwin William the other day..........the cheapest one they had was $1000.00........going up to about $2500.00. I could see that if this is your profession.

the reason i was saying dont buy the cheaper home depot ones is the are cheap for a reason. The main proplem with them is the crankshafts are know to break and that will cost you over 600 to have fix. Ive been there. my sprayer was 950 and was worth every penny. you will also get a better paint job.
