What Can You Do In The Winter To Rehabs?
I know that you can work on the inside during the winter. I was a bit concerned since the property I am going to bid on does have some curb appeal already, but I can see where new paint, rip out old bushes and put in new with some nice mulch would make a difference. I think painting outside may be getting tough since we are well into fall. How late has anyone everdone painting outside. Or does anyone have any tips for outside stuff during this time of year and going into winter? Any feedback would be great! I am located in Northern Ohio
I am not a painter, but I think 50 degrees and below is too cool. Check with a paint shop, or home depot...
Vinyl siding is always an alternative to painting depending on what it is your painting. Its cost effective and lasts you years and you wont have to paint again.
Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the information. The home is already sided, I was thinking about painting some of the trim and accent stuff on the porch. The house is white, but the garage is cement block and has this awful blue paint on it. Looks like someone just picked up what was left and painted it. I am going to put up a new post in the meantime. I did get some great ideas on curb appeal stuff to add to help with the look. Thanks for the input! P.S. I do not plan on holding the home for long-term, will put on the market to sell. [ Edited by nsor on Date 10/28/2003 ]
If you are just trying to get rid of the blue paint why not go down to Home Destroyers( Home Depot) and rent or buy a high pressure power washer and blast the old paint off, then decide what to do. Repaint a different color or whatever looks best and is economical. Take a look around the neighborhood and get some ideas from similar properties..thats what I would do.
