What Business/Bookkeeping Systems Do You Use?
With several rentals, and a fix-up in process, I am flooded in papers, receipts. There is also a gnawing feeling I may be losing some deductions, or that my duty to Uncle Sam is being dangerously slighted, and my burgeoning empire is at risk.
The fact is, I hate the management side of this business, because I do not have good systems.
How do you do it? What is your paper trail? Where does a deductible receipt go? How do you file, post, record, track, initiate, respond, etc? What software do you use, and why do you love/hate it?

Get someone to help, if you don't like doing it yourself. I did this for the papers, now that things are setup (a process in itself, give how I work) she comes in every couple of weeks and files and organized my files in the file cabinet.
For Biz financies I use quickbooks for personal quicken
it's rare if I write more than 5 paperchecks a year. Everything else is online, including most of my credit cards.
