Why Can't You Reply To The E-mails?

I get many e-mails to my AOL account from this site. I used to e-mail back, but the e-mails are returned not deliverable.
The e-mails have a name, usually the persons real name. I don't know who these people are, if we are allowed to contact them,(without going to jail). Why do you have the e-mail function if you can't respond by e-mail. Then you can't write call me if you do know the poster's name. Again away to jail you go.
I don't mind giving peole good solid advise in this forums. But sometimes the original topic is strayed from or they have a different scenario they want to discuss. But I can never respond

    Lori,

It might be specific to AOL. I sometimes get email and I have no problem replying back.

It might also be they registered with a bad address or the address has gone bad since they registered. As it always happens when you reply I would expect the issue is more on your side.

If you want to run some tests, go to my profile and send an email. I can take a look at the header and send a test reply. We can then reverse things I can start the process to see what you get and if you can reply.

The reason you get those is when somebody chooses to hide their email from you the From: address is changed to dontreply @thecreativeinvestor.com

If you needed to get back in touch with the person, we provide a link in the email to get back in touch with the person.

This allows for privacy between the two parties, while at the same time, they can communicate.[ Edited by joel on Date 06/07/2004 ]

I know there is a link, I can not go to this site from AOL. I go to Mozilla. I must have a secured computer to wire money. I can not allow cookies.
But you are correct because they e-mail me from donetrophy.
Which doesn't allow me to respond instantly. I have decided not to answer those e-mails.

    Thanks for the info anyway.

You will need to contact AOL for this and ask why they are blocking us.

    joel,

For some reason I recieved the same email message from AOL about blocking messages.

I sent in a reply to them because I was not spamming anyone as they informed me I was.

Some organization are a little too quick to assume that messages are spam. You then get blocked and you can not really do much about it some of the time.

I would rather have everything come my way and then I can use my spam mechanisms to make sure only the right things get through. This way I have control and I can fine tune things.

When a site or ISP decides it knows best it makes it difficult to educate them that they might have it wrong (large company and all of that). Hence I find people just migrate to other providers. At least for some of the communication when it is easy to segment.

I like tightly focused ads (like creative RE ads here) as that is how I learn of things many times. Google also has a good balance with how they display ads.
