Water / Sewer / Trash Bills
I'm confused by something I read in another thread.
If you L/O or subto a house, then L/O it out as your exit, what exactly happens with the utilities that are in place?
It would seem to me that the previous owners (who sold to you) would need to get their names off of them, and the new tb's on. However... are there sometimes deposits on these items? Is it as simple as calling and switching names? Is there anything to watch out for here that may alert the lender?
It is as simple as you, or your tenant/buyer, calling the companies and having the utilities switched to your name.
