Try 1-888-852-1745. Also I hope you have written authourization, the account # and social of the persons the loan is in, they usually ask for an address and phone # of the property you are dealing with. You should be able to fax your authoriztion to 818-775-2411 attn: Loss Mitigation
be sure to include the loan # and name on all correspondence. By the way it takes 24-48 hours for your authorization to get into their system, then when you call back ask to speak with the loss mitigation dept. and they will connect you from w/in. Good luck
Hey thanks for the reply, that really helps. So if i understand the timing of everything, is this correct:
1) Get property under contract with the seller and get all their info--loan #, personal info, financial info, etc.
2) Call the lender (WaMu in this case), say that i have a short sale proposal on one of their properties, and find out to whom I should fax to the attention of
3) Fax over all the preliminary info I've gathered and in 24-48 hours, call them back and ask for a short sale package
I've read numerous articles and even Ron Legrands Short Sale course, but the sequence of events still gets me. Can you confirm if the above is correct? Thanks for your help!!
