In addition because real estate is, for the most part, a hand's on management situation even tracking the sale price of a given parcel over time doesn't mean very much. With a different owner the parcel would have been managed differently and the prices would reflect that management.

I would think you would be able to find an investor to 'shadow' for a deal or two. Find a mentor and I think you will find what your looking for.
