Vacation Rental?
Greeting everyone,
I wanted to ask for anybody’s experiences doing a “vacation rental” type property.
I’m getting ready to make an offer on a duplex, which just happens to be in a prime area for year-round vacation rentals. It’s also in an area that’s currently appreciating at over 30% per year.
I was thinking of just doing a regular rental, but the cash flow potential seems to be a lot higher as a vacation property – even after allowing a 50%-55% factor for vacancy, maintenance, property management, etc.
I’ve never done this type of rental, and just wanted to get your feedback, thoughts, insights, pros, cons, etc.
