But won't he need to see that I own the property? When buying at the foreclosure sale, the deed is not given to you right away. I'll receive it in a month when I close, but until then, is the property off limits??
At time of sale, they normally tell you, you dont own the property until you close.
So, there's no way to get into the property at all? They said the deed will be given at time of closing.
That's understood, but then even after I get the deed, then is it as simple as going to a locksmith and showing him the deed, and he'll open up the property for you?

You were given the key?? Wow! The lender had complying ex-homeowners that gave up their key??
I thought some of these people are so vindictive that they would trash/destroy the house before they left. A big surprise for new homeowners.
Please approach the property with great caution. I did not and I produced my little T rod and riffler and opened the front door and walked in only to be inundated by a container of water that had been suspended over the inner portion of the door.
That was excusable what was not was the crushed beer cans that had been inserted thru the cleanout into the 4 inch waste line.
Yes the prior owner had even left a note for the new owner nailed to the wall by two rather large 10 inch spikes.

Here's the big question. After you put down your 10% down payment on the property, you are required to close within 30 days. Now, how can you get the loan from the bank if you can't get the property appraised on the inside of the house?
How will this effect your loan? Will you automatically be denied the loan?
