Using Prefab Sites Like (affiliating With) Ibuyhomes.com
Has anyone tried using one of the prefab sites as a way to birddog for homes and get referrals to sellers? The costs don't seem too high and I was wondering if you really get referrals.
I think that you would have better luck farming your area yourself. That way you can target the specific areas that you want to work.

Hi. I just set up an account with www.quickoffers.com. See my profile for the website. Anyway I don't really see it as much as a leads generator as I do a credibility thing. People may think twice about calling you if you are an "affiliate" on a professional looking website.
I will be mailing out my first huge batch of postcards with the website printed bold and underlined.
I think it will make a difference...especially starting out.
I have two sites and have had very limited success from each. Its been my experience that most of the folks that post on these sites have properties that you either don't want or are just posting to get more information about what you do with no real interest in selling the house. I have yet to close on any property which originated from my websites.
I'm not sure if there is any "Best way" to get your business started. There are some ways that are easier than others, but for the most part, each individual has to find what works for them and pursue that avenue. Some places are better than others for different markets. You just have to find what works for your are. I agree about the canned sites. Most of the properties I have seen are just the ones that I want to avoid, but that is in my area, not everywhere. Hope this helps, Good luck
I use a prefab site and love it. I have gathered some interested parties for purchasing houses, as well as funding me, in addition to a number of motivated sellers. Folks call me from my ad, but some people was a less confrontational way to contact me...they can email me via the web site. I also post my "for rent/for sale/lease option" houses online, so buyers can view the photos first, as well as the terms before they call me. One stop shopping...
What is a prifab site and how do I set one up? Is it expensive?
My site was made by a team of investors, who specialize in the preforeclosure market. They had better tools than I do...I paid $392.00 for first month and $49.00 for each month thereafter. I am in the middle of closing on a deal that I got from the site. In addition my web page is in my classified newspaper ads, so a distressed seller doesn't have to call me...they can email instead.
I was reffered to a website that used to buy and sell property. It only cost me $25 set up fee and $25 per month. I love it! Other gurus like Charlie & Randy France, Bill Barnett, Bill Duquet, etc have used. I can't type in the website because I'm a newbie so if anybodies interested, just send me a private message.
