Updating Our Leases...

Does anyone know if it is possible to update your rental lease agreement before the lease is over, or do we have to let the lease expire first. The reason I ask is because I have found some truly valuable information on this site and would like modify our current leases to make them more complete.

I just don't want to do something like that and wind up in a mess of some sort.

Any and all advice is appreciated and welcome.
Thanks
Christing

You can certainly present your tenants with a new lease but they are not required to sign. You already have a legal binding contract and if one party wants to change the terms they can't without the other agreeing.

By all means, update your lease agreement anytime you need to. Have it ready to execute whenever your current leases are up for renewal.
