Too Many Credit Checks For While Apartment Hunting.

Hello all I am a beginner I want to invest in rehab projects. thats not what I am writing about though I have credit problems right now that I am getting together. But right now I am looking for an apartment. The last time I got a credit report it said specifically the inquries into my credit was having a negative affect by itself. But every apartment I go see the landlord wants a complete application and a credit check. that really sucks because I have seen two apartments so far but who knows how many I will see before I find one.

Is there any better way to do the apartment credit check?

"And I have perfect apartment rental history. I wish I could incoporate that in my credit report. "

You can. Assuming that most of your history is in the area, why not get letters of reference from your old landlords, and pass them along with the application to help balance out any negatives that may be on the credit report.

Hopefully if you have a "perfect" history, then the dings on your credit are not rental related???
