I'm in AR. What county are you interested in? I'm in NW corner (Washington County). I wouldn't mind helping out...

I could help you out with some areas. I live in west central Arkansas, but am familiar with central Arkansas as well, especially around Greers Ferry Lake, which is a hot spot for resort property. I would be happy to work with you.

Hey guys, i live in Lonoke County, i'm 30 minutes from Little Rock, maybe we should all get together and something, I notice we have no REI clubs here in Arkansas, which is disappointing.

Hi folks, Arkansas here also, Little Rock to be exact. Could you please e mail me, any or all of you ...I'd like to exchange ideas, experiences, with all of you. I'm sure this is going to be very beneficial to us allsmile

I'm interested in Arkansas too, I'm in North Louisiana and buy tax lien certificates there. I would like to become active in the southern counties of Arkansas.

What is the interest rate and redemption period in Arkansas?

  • CEW21st September, 2003

It would be nice to actually have some experiences posted relative to Arkansas tax liens. I have not found any data relative to how Arkansas handles its liens, interest rates, sales, certificate or actualy sale...etc, etc. Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
The Commissioner of Lands in Arkansas has an excellent web site. I'm not allowed to post it here but I have posted it in my profile for those who are interested. Or you may e-mail me for it.

If the tax-delinquent land is not redeemed within the thirty-day period you'll get a Iimited warranty deed...I did also read a media release yesterday which stated that anyone contesting the validity of the sale must do so with 90 days after the sale was made, as opposed to the 2 yr period it used to be.

Rates are 10% simple interest for each yr of delinquency and 10% penalty for each year of the delinquency.
I suggest you e mail the land commissioner's office they've been very helpful to me so far.
Anything further , you'll need to round upour local tax assessor, she's a nice lady and very helpful also.

*By the way...Mr Greer's Ferry lover...that's where I want to buy, what info do you have on that area please?
    Cheers,
    Curly
