Title search
Anyone know some place I can get information on doing title checks - for lease options and such, or would I be better off just paying my title $75 to do it for me.
I have never bought with a LO and there is no title insurance because there is no sale - yet.

Caugh up the $75. Could save LOTS of money in the long run. I have been a title examiner for the last 10 years. (Nebraska and Arizona) Depending on which State and County you are in, you would have to go to your local county seat and search though old books, computers, micro fische, and film rolls to sufficiently find the status of the title report. I have immediate access to many powerfull tools to search real estate, but if I didn't I would definitely buy the "Condition of Title Report" from a knowledgeable Title Company. Good luck.
