Time Value Of Money Question

Does anyone know how to perform the time value of money calculation?

Any help would be appreciated.

    well...yes I do...unless its just for academics, most people generally use a financial calculator for TVM calculations...And, writing the formula in a word processor is a pain in the butt...I just tried...search on the web for "present Value formula" or "Time Value of Money" and you should find what your looking for. If you have excel, there are TVM formulas already entered (=PV() or =PMT() or =FV() and a few others...those are the ones I use most)...but, again, no reason to do it all manually, use excel, another online financial calculator, or head to office depot and get a financial calculator... smile hope that helps[ Edited by rmdane2000 on Date 12/02/2004 ]

    I agree w/ rmdane. Why break your back when you can have a computer do it. There are also charts that will make it easier for you. I know I have books from my college classes that have them. But I still prefer calculators and excel spreadsheets over books.
