This Or That?

So on a short sale are you typcially just buying the property cheap and then selling it for below market value or are you buying it and rehabbing it and selling it for retail? What's the more common strategy?

Your question is about an exit strategy... and has nothing to do with an acquisition strategy.

A short sale acquisition is the process of purchasing a property for less than is owed on that property.

Once acquired, you can flip it, hold it, rehab and flip, rehab and hold, etc.

In my opinion, the best exit strategy would be to acquire at less than market value, effectuate equity enhancement techniques, then..... do whatever meets your personal investment goal.
