There are three types of agency relationships allowed by law.
1. No Brokerage relationship
2. Transactional agency
3. Single agency
Ok! That is more than you need to know right? Wrong! Only the prudent, savvy buyers will learn this secret. Why? Knowledge is a Necessity when money is at risk.
First are you the principle or customer in a Real Estate transaction?
Who Cares? YOU should!
Second what loyalty does the agent have to you?
Third How can an agent say "she works for both the buyers and sellers best interest in her office"?
Wow! Red light. She cannot represent both as principles ,even as transactional agency, without risk of the Florida Real Estate Commission coming down on her. And yet I hear it all the time. No wonder the public is confused. Some agents are as well.
