That Easy To Find Sellers?

Background: Sold my previous property in one day after listing with realtor at market value.

Fast forward to 3/10/04- listed my current property for sale on 3/10 and had 3 people view it and between yesterday and today probably 7-9 calls, probably a couple more seeing it tonight... I have started askign if "preapproved" as to not waste my time...

Just didn't expect that many people interested in buying...

Norm? Or I guess I am in a seller's market (not good to buy as investment if so, LOL)? No has called today to sign a contract from last night, but there has been traffic... which is good to find a buyer I guess.

I am confused though... if so easy it motivates me to go into what I wanted to do (mortgages and/or buying/selling properties) cool grin ............. BUT, if so easy, why do I feel licenced realtors STRUGGLE ?? Or is that an illusion of mines? ANd if so easy, why no more people getting licenced as realtors in general?

Granted I haven't sold the property yet, but like I said, lots of interest at MARKET value, not underpriced..

thoughts?

Well, put it this way, Your trying to sell your house, so it comes easy to you, because, well you already have the house, and its just YOU trying to sell it.

With a realtor, however, they need to FIND a house to sell, and they compete inside the office, and with other offices to find the properties. Thats why realtors "struggle"

In addition, there are huge amounts of Realtors out there. I just read an article the other day that said there is a close to 1 million licensed Realtors and brokers in the US and that number is climbings. So there is a lot of competition and it is getting very cutthroat.

Well, like 8 calls today and 2 viewed the property... ..... Selling my property seems to motivate me to continue my real estate investment / mortgage broker goals... Granted, of the 4-5 people I showed the property yesterday and today I haven't seen a contract yet... but .... We'll see, i will start sweating a 4-6 weeks from now if I haven't shown it.

Am I wrong in asking people if the are prequalified before wasting my time?

People shouldn't have a problem with you asking if they are prequalified, we are all supossed to be adults here.

It is a question they should have heard before if they have been looking for long.

And if they do have a problem, then it is their problem.
