Texas Deed Of Trust Trustee Requirements
I have lived and invested in states that had mortgages (Ohio and Florida). I am now faced with making a loan in Trust Deed State (Texas). I will draw up a note. No problem there.
I understand how the trust deed works in principle, but I have some questions on the details. I have the option of making this loan personally or from my corporation. My question is what are the legally valid criteria for a trustee in Texas?
Is the trustee required to have a Texas address?
Can I just make the loan from my corporation and name myself as trustee (I live in Florida)?
Or can I serve as both lender and trustee?
