Tenant Splits
I received a surprise call from a tenant yesterday stating that she and her husband are having marital problems. She has asked her husband to move out, but he refuses. While both her and her husband are on the lease, I qualified their lease with her income alone.
I told her that since her husband is on the lease, there is nothing that I can do to help her remove him from the home and this sounds like a divorce suit not a Landlord Tenant. issue. Does anyone know of how you can remove one tenant -- either by an action that the wife can take (other than a divorce settlement).
