Tenant // Kitchen Cabinets Fell

I got a phone call from a tenant telling me the kitchen cabinets fell down in the kitchen. I then went to the property to verify and to my surprise all 3 cabinets fell I mean even the cabinet over the stove that was not attached to the two other cabinets. The tenants explaination is she just came home and this happened. now has anyone had did issue and how did you handle it. Now take in to consideration the back board of cabinet is stil on wall the cabinet over the stove came all the way down with the screws still intact. Finally my results was someone pulled it down intentionally also the other red flag was the bedroom door was kicked in like someone was going on a rampage. suggestions please

I dont think you can put this one on the tenant. Its pretty hard to take down a cabinet, even if you are mad.

Since the screws are attached, it looks like a poor installation. Screws should have been driven into a two by six. Even if she had something to do with it, it would be tough to prove, or even accuse a female tenant.

2x6 can be hard to hit on the 2" edge.. "backing" where you put 2x stock between the ceiling joist/rafters/structure members that you have the 4,6,8 inchs of "face" rather than edge of the board to hit w/ the screw.
