Tenant Application Process
How do you do this? Have any tricks of the trade to share?
I try to get the applicants to fill out the application there, but most walk out the door with it never to be seen again. What method works for you to get a completed application?
The clipboard idea psychologically is a very shrewd one. I keep asking the prospects if they want to fill it out now or get it to me later. Chris, how many application fees do you have to typically have to absorb before you get a winner?
costco had cheap blinds, I never looked at drapes.
Tuesday Morning (kind of like Big Lots, might not be in your area), target, Walmart.
Thanks for the responses to everybody. Finniganps, what type of blinds are you talking about? the little mini blinds or something else?
May sound goof-ball... but have you considered paper window shades? Disclaimer: I have never used them in a rental, but have removed them from rentals where the tenants used them as temporary window coverings. (I historically do not supply window treatments since local housing authorities did not allow vinyl mini-blinds until about 6 (12?) months or so ago, and I market to both HA (Section and non-HA tenants.)

I am planning on purchasing a bunch of those "fauxwood" two inch drapes from HD. They look really good and are super cheap for small windows. The only problem is that the fauxwood ones really jump up in price for windows 4 feet wide and larger. I will try to get some of those cotton tab top drapes for those size windows. Thanks for all the advice everybody.
