TAx Lien Books?
I have the entire month of august free and plan to go osmehwere else and buy some tax liens. Porblem is I do not which states offer the best opportunities for purchase (ie no ridiculous competition), or the most favorable tax lien laws.
Is there a guide out there tha goes over each individual state law and shows the one with the best tax lien laws?
Thanks

I’m afraid I am not much help but you need to realize your question is a little ambiguous. Or maybe I should say has many various answers. What is best for one person might not be best for the other person. It’s a matter of personal opinion. Simple example. Some people are only interested in the interest they will get from the property while others are really hoping to get the property and the interest is, while beneficial, not their main goal. With that being said, those wanting the interest are happy if the redemption period runs for 4 years, increasing in value for each year, while those wanting the property want the redemption period to be as short as possible. While I am not aware of any “books” as you mention I would think that you could phone a few different collectors (or who ever sells the properties) in a few different states and have a little chat with different ones. This would give you some idea of how the state does the tax sale. As for competition, if you have enough money there won’t be any competition. Sorry about that, just couldn’t help it. Please forgive. That is one question I don’t know the answer to. Most larger towns usually have more bidders, but also more properties. Around here, one town has maybe 12 properties and 35 biddres, another town has about 300 properties and 80 bidders. But some of the properties are worthless no matter how you look at it. Good luck

Just thought of this. You mention going to other states to buy tax sale liens. Better make sure you can purchase the liens in the state you plan on going to. Missouri does not let non-missourians bid on property unless they have a person who lives in the county they are bidding in be an agent for them. August is not far away so you better get on the stick if you are going to get rich quick this year.
