Tax Deed Sales?

I live in illinois, seems that to get my hands on the list of the deliquent properties in chicago; I need to fork over $250 (just for the list). Anyone know of a way around that (if you're experiencing this). Rather put that money into a lot or a home. confused

$250 for a list?Usually you can walk over to your county office to get the Tax deed auction list and its free ory ou pay a nominal fee usually about $5 or so.
Infact some internet friendly counties even post the list on the internet

    Nice.

I tried to get the list last year from cook county office, they were talking about $250. That totally turned me off. I must try again, but I don't see why the list would b so costly.
    thanks

try searching the internet, you may get lucky.. my county posts the properties 3 weeks before the sale... but you have to really look to find them...
