Is it permissible to buy/own real estate in a self-directed IRA with a direct family member?). Example. A lot will be purchased for $50,000. Can my brother own 50% and my IRA own the other 50%?

Thanks for the reply; I thought it would be okay. I might end up simply doing a joint venture outside of my IRA with this one. So far I’ve only done raw land cash sales with my IRA for simplicity’s sake.
