I am speaking of tax lien in the state of NJ you hold the lien for 2 years then you have the right to foreclose on the owner to gain ownership, in the time it takes you to do the foreclosure the homeowner has the right to redeem the certificate until the final date of foreclosure is set by the judge. I have looked into the process and it can take at least 90 days, and cost around $3,000.00, but I wondered if this is something that I can do on my own or do I need to involve an attorney
