I am in Hillsborough County and once the purchase price is paid in full (which you have 24 hours from the time of sale) then the property is yours and a quite title can be obtained. There is no redemption period once the property is paid in full.
However, other counties you purchase a tax certificate which the prior owner has a set amount of time to redeem the property. Check with the office for which you obtained the tax deed.
