TAKE ACTION!!!
I am a beginner to REI. I work full time as a mortgage broker and had been contemplating and thinking about getting started for about two years.
The reason I'm writing this is to give other beginners, that may have even less experience in REI, a heads up.
F.Y.I. I accomplished absolutley nothing while I was thinking about getting started and " aquiring information ". Things started changing and I started making a little money when I started taking action.
I am no guru, and I don't mean to preach. I wish that I had someone tell me to get off my butt, stop being scared and take action. Since I made the decision to take action I've Bdogged two deals, I'm in negotiations w/ Countrywide, on a short sale that I'm working, I have a meeting tonight with a seller and will hopefully lock in on my first wholesale opportunity (assignment).
I'm working on a budget, my credit is improving, and not to sound cliche, but I haven't used any of my own money to do any of this. I'm not exactly lighting the world on fire, when it comes to monetary figures at this point, but I'm learning and I'm establishing and making my business grow, improve and be more efficient each and every day.
Everything I've learned has been from this site, other investors, and yes, two years ago I bought Carlton Sheets pkg, and it gave me some good info.
I'm in this for the long haul, and my goal is to be a full time investor, by May of 2006. I know that realistic, if I continue to TAKE ACTION EVERYDAY!!!
Just wanted to give some real green recruits some encouragement, cause i know I needed a lot when I first got started.
