Good Books About Forming An LLC For A Sub-to Biz
Hi. What books would any of you recommend for setting up an LLC...specifically for a sub-to business?Or just talk to an attorney/accountant?
I thought it would be good to be prepared and knowledgable before "setting one up."
Some books I have heard are good:
Inc. Yourself, Form Your Own LLC, and Starting an LLC.
Thanks in advance for the input...
Although it's so easy and fast to set up your own LLC @ your Sec of State's office in State Capital, you would probably benefit from reading a book or two on Corps, LLCs and Inc'ing.
Get a Legal Kit from an office supply as to how to inc. yourself in your state, and this kit will have the legal forms you need.
Very simple and won't take you an hour to complete.
As for books on the subject, just stop in at your library and see what they have, then look at a bookstore, either virtual or real, as they'll have a number that would help you.
Go to http://www.bizfilings.com/. It will explain to you in detail how to set up your business from a to z. It is also very state specific as well. You can also do all of the filings right there on line as well.

The Nolo Press books on LLCs are pretty good. "Nolo's Quick LLC" is sort of the Reader's Digest summary book of the several that they offer (~$21 on amazon). They are all written by the same guy and have a lot of redundant material (Jeez - I hope Robert Kiyosaki's Marketing Manager isn't listening!). You will only need one.
If you are a "I Need to Read a Book" to feel comfortable type-of-guy, get this one - then go online and do it ... the previous posts offer a good path forward. Good luck.

"Own Your Own Corporatin" by Garett Sutton (spelling?)
It is part of Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad's advisor series.
Excellent overview on corperate dealings
