When you purchase a home subject to, is the purchase document date specifying the date the agreement took place or later.

    Without seeing your document, it is difficult to give a definite response.

    I would guess that you will need two dates somewhere in your contract. The date of the agreement is the date it is initially written. The date of the settlement, or date of possession, is the date the buyer gets the keys.
