Stupid Question On Contract Notarize

Do I need to have a traveling notary be there when I sign a purchase agreement with the seller? Can I leave the paperwork with the seller to sign and notarize on her own, then fax it back to me and I can sign and have it notarized as well? Or does everyone have to be there at the same time?

Does the seller get a copy as well?

It is better for both of you to sign the contract in front of one notary. I prefer to sign contracts at the title company, using their notary. Both parties get a copy.

    1) In my state, the P&S signatures do not require notorization.

    2) No, all parties do not have to sign at the same time.

    3) All parties (buyer, seller & bank) receive a hardcopy.
