Strategy Questions
Hello.
As fate would have it, my partner & I went into a bar where my partner knows the owner. We stopped by to find out what he was doing w/the bar/building because it needs work (we do rehab/new construction). He stated his son is doing xyz & they were going to begin work shortly. Well, I pulled the list for the upcoming auction (taxes) & the bar/building was on the list!
My questions are, how do we approach the owner? He is in his 70's. What specific research/info should we have before we approach him? Do we offer to partner w/him? Thanks in advance for your guidance.

We want the prop.
So, offer to buy it from the owner. If you can't make a deal with the owner, get your money together, wait and see if it goes to auction. If so, bid at the auction. If you don't get it at the auction, look for some other property to buy.
