Stormwater Detention
Situation: Subdividing a single half-acre lot into two separate lots, but stormwater management guidelines require detention of 90% of a 100-year rainfall event.
Questions:
1) As far as working with the engineers goes, how much would you expect to pay for the survey, topography, development of plats, tree survey, grading plan, storm drainage profile, hydrology studies of detention structures, erosion and sediment control plan, construction details, and necessary meetings? What caveats would you put in their contract?
2) I know that this varies substantially from one site to the next, but how much would you expect to pay for underground detention on quarter-acre lots with about 2000-2500 sq ft of impervious surface. Also, who would generally do the installation of these structures?
