State To State

Once again I would like to appologize if this is yet another question that has been posted 100 too many times . I have yet to find it.

My question goes like this. I live in Florida, say I was visiting Colorado or Tennessee and the day before I was leaving to go back home I saw the perfect deal or not even the perfect deal I just found a deal that I didn't want to let pass me by. Is it possible to begin, pursue, and even complete a wholesale deal while you're not even in the same state as the property?
Can you buy and sell it by FEDEXing contracts, speaking over the phone, etc. Without being in the same state? I think you get the picture. Just something I was pondering and looking around for.

It's not unusual for people to buy/sell real estate if they're not in the same state as the property. Of course, it's somewhat more cumbersome. Provisions can be put in contracts that signature by facsimile has the same legal and binding effect as original signatures, or that contracts can be executed in counterparts so that all the counterparts taken together constitute a fully-signed contract. This latter provision can be handy if the property, buyer and seller are all in different states.

Thanks Nancy. I think that this could be something I should look into more, since I do travel back and forth a lot to Tennessee. If anyone else has any other information, or even a website where I can get more information, please let me know.
