State, County, City Websites About Tax Liens......

Does anyone know of a state, county, city, or other government sponsored website that posts information on upcoming tax lien auctions?

What resourses do you use to find auctions in NY, NJ and other states in that area?

Thanks for the help.

Mike

For NY, only a few counties offer tax liens, and these include Nassau, Rensseler, and a few other upstate counties (mostly around the finger lakes that are very rural). For NJ, all the municipalities offer tax lien sales, not the counties. There are over 500 municipalities in NJ that sell tax liens. The easiest way is really to go to ****Must Reach Freshman Investor status before posting URL's*** and find all the info you need. It doesn't cost you anything to register, and after you registered, you can find an immense volume of information in tax liens and tax deeds there. They also offer the most up-to-date and honest information on the tax lien investment in the market. Their "comprehensive guide to tax lien inestment" is worth its weight in gold. You follow those instructions there and you will never go wrong in investing in tax liens. I'm a professional investor in tax liens and I depend on this website for information of all kinds in this industry! I am not connected to it in any way, shape or form though. I'm just a faithful client.

Live in Shelby County, TN. Shelby borders Crittenden County AR an DeSoto County MS. It looks like the best states have a premium back outcome. TN is the only state that has this, so I would not bid in MS even at 18% rate vs TN 10% MS has no premium back outcome. Can't find enough info on AR. I know that figures.
Looking for feedback to tweak my idea.

Mostly counties in NY offer tax lien sales. I know Onandaga does it, which is the county that syracuse is in, but Syracuse City liens, are not sold by onandaga county. depending on the county, some cities will hold their own sales. A friend went to that onandaga county sale and bought 40 acres (and a mule) for about $5K.

The website is http://www.taxsalelists.com. Good luck! It is free to register and after you log in, click on tax sales, and it gives you a map of the US with different colors for each state that denotes the kind of state they are, i.e. tax lien, redeemable tax deeds, deed states or offer both liens and deeds. Then click on the state you're interested in and you'll see a list of counties that are having upcoming sales and the lists for sale for those municipalities. if you want to do the work to save the money, then you call the municipality and hope they will help you. They are not always knowledgeable or helpful in my experiende. I would just rather pay the few bucks to get the info in excel spreadsheet format so i can analyse them easily rather than pay a few bucks for a newspaper and then i have to transpose it down into the PC by typing in myself and risk making mistakes, etc., to save a buck or two, while wasting hours of my precious time. Good luck!

Also -- instead of paying at the previously mentioned web site, ask the country treasurers officde if they have an electronic list available. Several counties I do business with now have this service.
