Not to sound coy or anything, but the best advice I have would be to visit Walden Books, Amazon, etc and educate yourself on the REIT game. There are a good number of books in the REI section that cover this topic to one degree or the other.
I would personally recommend anything by Ty Hicks as a good launch pad for you.
To start your own REIT, the DRE requires it must have at least a minimum of 100 investors lined up as members so you need to start advertizing for contacts.
